Step Into Almera Hotel Bat Yam: King Beds, Sea Balconies and Room to Spread Out

חדר במלון אלמרה בת ים

Step into a room at Almera Hotel Bat Yam and the first thing you notice is the bed: a king, wide and made up, in a room that is air-conditioned and designed with some care. Then, if you chose well, the balcony door and the sea beyond it. The hotel stands at the north end of the Bat Yam promenade, first line to the water, and its rooms are where a stay really happens. So that is where we begin: how the five room types are built, how they differ, and which one suits the trip you have in mind.

What every room at Almera Hotel Bat Yam has in common

Some things do not change from room to room. Every guest room has a king-size bed, every room is air-conditioned, and the style throughout is modern and a little luxurious, tidy and easy on the eye. What changes is size, whether there is a balcony, and how many people sleep where.

The most useful thing to know before booking is where a room faces. Some look out to the sea and have a balcony. Others look at the city and do not. Neither is the wrong choice; it depends on how you plan to spend your days.

Deluxe: 20 sqm, a king bed and a balcony to the sea

The Deluxe room is built for two adults. It is 20 square metres with a 180/200 king bed, and what sets it apart is the balcony facing the sea. You can open the door and step outside to look at the water, even when you have no plans beyond that.

It suits a couple who want to sleep near the sea, wake up to it and come back to it after a walk on the promenade. The hotel is less than 100 metres from the beach, so the sea here is a short stroll as well as a view.

Classic: when the city view is enough

The Classic room matches the Deluxe in size and bed: 20 sqm, up to two adults, a 180/200 king. The difference is that it has no balcony and faces the urban view. We say it plainly so there are no surprises at check-in.

If you plan to spend most of the day out, on the sand, along the promenade or at one of the restaurants and bars nearby, this is mainly a room to sleep and rest in. For a business traveller on a night or two, or a couple who do not need a balcony, it is a sensible and comfortable choice.

The suites: more space, and who each one is for

The Junior Suite is 34 sqm and sleeps up to three guests. It has a 200/200 king bed, a sofa bed and a balcony facing the sea. It works for a couple with a child, or for two people who simply like more air around them than a standard room gives.

The Exclusive Suite, at 35.5 sqm, is laid out differently: two bedrooms, one with a 180/200 king bed and one with two twin beds, for up to 2+2 guests. Like the Classic, it has no balcony and faces the city. Those travelling with friends or a larger family can ask about the optional connecting door to the neighbouring room.

The largest is the Sunset Suite, 41 sqm, for up to four adults. It has a 200/200 king bed, two twin beds, an additional room for hosting and a balcony facing the sea.

Outside the door: seven floors and breakfast on the gallery level

The hotel has seven floors: five of guest rooms, the entrance lobby floor, and a gallery floor that holds the dining room. Reception works around the clock, so a late arrival or a question in the middle of the night is no problem.

In the morning you go down to the gallery floor (G), to an intimate, designed dining room that looks out to the sea. The walls carry paintings by Nahum Gutman and other Israeli art. Breakfast is a carefully set continental spread served as a full buffet: fresh bread, fine cheeses, salted fish, fresh salads, pastries, cakes, homemade jams and natural juices, with coffee alongside. It is the kind of breakfast that makes the rest of the day feel easier before it has begun.

Afterwards there is the hotel’s treatment room, which offers massages and massage treatments. There is no pool and no gym at Almera. In their place you get an unhurried pace, the sea a short walk away and a good choice of restaurants and bars close by.

Times, parking and a Friday option

Check-in begins at 15:00 on the day of arrival, and check-out is by 11:00 on the day of departure. If you come by car, there is underground parking at 70 shekels a night, entered from Sokolov 2 in Bat Yam.

For weekends there is a half-board Friday deal: a night’s stay, breakfast, a Mediterranean-style dinner, free parking and a late Saturday check-out at 20:30, from 1,400 ILS per couple. The dinner buffet is built around fish and hot dairy dishes, with no meat: rotating fish dishes, hot sides, vegetables prepared in different ways, fresh salads and desserts.

This is a hotel that invites a slow day: wake up, go down to the buffet, walk out to the promenade and come back to a room that is waiting. We look forward to hosting you.
